Last summer I spent many hours sewing gifts for friends and family.  This is my grandson using the car carrier blanket I made.  It keeps him warm and comfy.  Mom gets many compliments on it.

I am looking forward to another summer of sewing.  I already have a list of projects I need to complete... Another car road map quilt, car carrier blanket and several diaper bags!

QUILTS FOR CHRISTMAS!

My Aunt Doris is an avid sewer and quilter too!  I have waited a long time to get one of her beautiful quilts.  This year my mom surprised all of us girls with one of my Aunt Doris' quilts.  My Aunt Doris is going blind and has a hard time sewing now.  I admire her work.

FIRST PHOTO SHOOT

This was a few photos from my first attempt at an infant photo shoot.  I was not able to get sleepy time shots which I had anticipated.  This was harder than I expected and I am not real pleased with the outcome but mom loves them.

IT'S A BOY!

Our handsome grandson was born in November.  It was a long three days of waiting but well worth it!  My daughter-in-law asked me to take photos of the birth.  I was excited.  It was not an easy task and I am not a professional but feel I captured some pretty good shots I wish I could share.  She doesn't want anyone to see the birthing photos but I have some after the birth.

The hardest part of taking the birthing photos was right after the baby was handed to mom.  It happened so quick I was not able to change my settings.  What a special moment for a mom to see her baby for the first time.  I had a c-section with my son so I was not awake for his birth.  This was a special moment for me to see my grandson being born.  I will treasure this moment forever.

The Dr. told mom and dad he would be 7 lbs well he surprised us all!
